Universities are not only centers of learning, but knowledge creation and are involved in the transfer of this knowledge to society. The quality of this knowledge and the process by which this occurs must be practiced so that academic standards are maintained and continuously improved. Our core ambition is to nurture and train students through experiential learning. To be able to sustain academic leadership both excellence in teaching and innovative research that impacts society must be maintained. The university is rapidly growing with new programmes and the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering and Institute of Materials, Minerals, and Mining Engineering, the first of its kind in Pakistan. The student population has grown from 1700 in 2020 to 3800 in 2022 and is expected to increase further in the coming years. The university welcomes students of all backgrounds and believes that higher education should be available to all who qualify. Therefore various scholarships are available to students who wish to join the AUST community. After having explored the university website, I look forward to welcoming you to our campus.
