Research Associate – IM3E

Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals for the position of Research Associate under the DGST-funded project titled:

Position: Research Associate (01)   |   Employment: Full-time   |   Duration: 1 Year

Eligibility: Candidates having MS/PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related field.

Note: Candidates having a BS Engineering (Metallurgy/Materials) degree with two years of experience are also eligible to apply.

The suitable candidate is expected to understand materials processing and surface engineering, and have knowledge of characterization techniques such as microhardness and SEM/XRD, along with laboratory safety practices.

Candidates with experience in project documentation, procurement of lab equipment/chemicals, and report writing will be preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities: The Research Associate will be responsible for HVOF facility operation, feedstock preparation and beneficiation trials, coating deposition and parameter optimization, coating characterization, sample collection and record keeping, procurement support for lab equipment and chemicals, and preparation of quarterly progress reports and other documentation assigned by the Principal Investigator.
