Chairman's Message

Dr Waseem ul Haq

On behalf of all faculty, I am delighted to welcome the respected visitors to the webpage of Department of Mathematics which is amongst pioneer departments of AUST established in 2015. The department went through numerous stages of development till it got NOC from Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan for its M.Phil and PhD program in fall 2019 and fall 2020 respectively. Currently the department offers Bachelor(BS) , Master (M.Sc), M.Phil and Ph.D programs in Mathematics and there are plans to built linkages to other academic programs with mathematics. Department of Mathematics aims to produce qualified and competent graduates equipped with mathematical skills to meet the challenges of modern era and become leaders of future.

Mission:

Department of Mathematics seeks to play a lead role in innovative mathematical research and open to students with mathematical background.  Our mission is

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Bachelors (Mathematics)

A BS in Mathematics provides broad knowledge of mathematics topics with depth in certain areas such as algebra, calculus, functional analysis, geometry, number theory, logic, topology and other mathematical specializations while gaining a depth of expertise in certain areas.

GRADUATE PROGRAMS

MPhil (Mathematics)

A MS in Mathematics provides broad knowledge of mathematics topics with depth in certain areas such as algebra, calculus, functional analysis, geometry, number theory, logic, topology and other mathematical specializations while gaining a depth of expertise in certain areas.

PHD (Mathematics)

PHD in Mathematics provides broad knowledge of mathematics topics with depth in certain areas such as algebra, calculus, functional analysis, geometry, number theory, logic, topology and other mathematical specializations while gaining a depth of expertise in certain areas.
