A three day “INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MULTIDISCIPLINARY NANO RESEARCH ” has started at the Abbottabad University of Science & Technology AUST which will close on 4th August 2021.
1st Day International Conference on Nano Research.
The conference is a joint event involving the University of Hazara, Mansehra, and Pak-Austria Fachhochschule University, Haripur. The conference started with a welcoming address by Dr. Ajab Khan, Director ORIC at AUST followed by Prof Dr. Mujaddad Ur Rehman, Dean at AUST who presented the objectives of the conference. The Vice-Chancellor of AUST, Prof Dr Tahir I. Khan also welcomed the support of the Co-Patrons Prof Dr Jamil Ahmed (VC, Hazara University) and Prof Dr Muhammad Mujahid (VC, Pak-Austria Fachhoschule University). Prof Tahir Khan emphasised the importance of such events in establishing international linkages which result in collaborations which in turn provide opportunities for students in research. The recent developments in research ethos and in research policy at AUST were highlighted by the Vice-Chancellor. The keynote sessions focussed on nanostructured materials used in engineering applications and included Prof Dr. Udo Shwingenschlogl from King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, Saudi Arabia; Dr. Michele Reticcioli, University of Vienna; Dr. Kavian Cooke, University of Bradford, UK; Dr. Farzik Ijaz, King Saud University; Prof Sukru Talas, Afyon Kocatepe University, Turkey; Prof Zuhailawati Hussain, Universiti Sans Malaysia just to name a few. The conference continues for the next 2 days with emphasis on nanoscience developments in the biomedical field and include international keynote speakers from Canada, Iraq and Italy .
